About Chris

More Johnny English than James Bond – with a dash of John Steed, a soupçon of Hercule Poirot, a delightful hint of Miss Marple and slight notes of Sir Humphrey Appleby.

Chris is a thirty-something professional from London. A little bit eccentric, a little bit geeky, with an addiction to good food, business and politics.

Chris’ experiences in IT and as a senior police officer and his academic interest in leadership development have driven him to create Silver and Claret, where he can share his ideas and thoughts and support leaders to develop their own style and practical techniques.

Chris is a passionate advocate for LGBT equality and non-discrimination, having chaired his police force’s LGBT Support Network for two years.

Chris is a trustee director of Soldier On! – a specialist charity which provides career management and employment support to Armed Forces personnel who have been medically discharged as a result of injury or illness, enabling them to find long-term, sustainable and fulfilling employment.

Chris is also a former business mentor for The Prince’s Trust and an avid supporter of The Albert Kennedy Trust.

Chris holds a bachelor’s degree in Computing with Business Management from the University of Greenwich and a Masters of Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Westminster.
